On April 10, students gathered at Leo Aguilar Stadium for the annual powderpuff game, a tradition where junior and senior girls compete in a flag football matchup.
The event drew a large crowd of classmates, friends, and family to support their teams. In a twist on typical football games, boys took on the role of cheerleaders on the sidelines, adding energy and entertainment to the night.
The game was filled with excitement, teamwork, and friendly competition, as both teams worked hard to claim victory. The juniors ended with a win, scoring 6-2. Beyond the scoreboard, the event highlighted school spirit and brought students together in a memorable way.
Junior Paulette De La Fuente had a great experience watching her friends play in this year’s powderpuff game.
“I loved being able to cheer on my best friend, Olga,” De La Fuente said. “After watching everyone play, it made me want to participate next year.”
Junior Mateo Molina also enjoyed seeing his friends coach the junior team.
“I truly had so much fun attending the game and seeing my favorite person, Benjamin Isaiah Gabbert, wholeheartedly coach the junior girls,” Molina said. “I thought it was very cool seeing my fellow classmates play.”
