On May 2, 2026, the Los Fresnos ROTC went on their last trip of the year to the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi.
During their stay at the USS Lexington, the cadets enjoyed scavenger hunts around the ship, ghost stories in the theater, and finding a roach on board and naming him Richard.
“Richard,” stated CMC Valasquez, Sada and Communications Officer Hrothgar Bazan when asked what the most entertaining moment of the trip was.
Cadets also enjoyed their meals aboard with their dinner consisting of penne pasta with meatballs and steamed vegetables, and their breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, and a biscuit
Unfortunately, on the way back their bus broke down and they had to stop at a McDonalds, but they were able to get someone out there to fix it and they were able to get back safely.
