Teams in the NBA playoffs are currently competing to earn a spot in the Finals scheduled for early June, and fans have different predictions for who will make it.

The playoffs are currently in the second round (conference quarterfinals) with the OKC Thunder ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers 1-0, the Minnesota Timberwolves ahead of the San Antonio Spurs 1-0, the New York Knicks ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers 1-0, and the Detroit Pistons ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers 1-0.

According to FOX Sports, the top two favored teams to make it to the finals are Oklahoma City and San Antonio. Still, we do not know what the future holds, and any team still in the playoffs has a chance of going all the way. And, many people have their reasons as to why they favor certain teams.

For example, junior Emanuel Hernandez believes that Oklahoma City is a top contender for the Finals.

“They’ve been playing pretty good this year,” Hernandez said. “I think they’ll probably be going against the Spurs in the conference finals.”

Like Hernandez, junior Alejandro Martinez also believes San Antonio has a strong chance of earning a spot.

“I think that the Spurs are gonna make it to the NBA Finals,” Martinez said. “And I think they’ll win.”

Being that the closest NBA team to Los Fresnos is San Antonio, it is no surprise that the majority of Falcons for the Spurs. It appears that they have a strong chance of winning, too.  As stated earlier, of course, we do not know what the future holds, and it will not be until the end of this NBA season once we know who the victors are.
