On May 18, a basketball game between teachers and students will happen at Los Fresnos United.
The annual game will have teachers and staff face off against LFU students at the LFU dome. They money raised through the tickets and snacks, will help the school continue with the snacks during lunches, the outdoor food truck, or holiday events.
Coach Charlie Rivas is one of the teachers that will be playing in the game. Rivas said that he was going to drop a 50 piece during the game on the students.
“Tell ’em, Coach Rivas is gonna drop a 50 piece” Rivas said, “I feel confident in my ability to win against the students.”
Freshman Michael Lopez is one of the students who’s going to go watch the games after buying a ticket. Lopez said that he would be going with two of his friends to go watch the basketball game together.
“I plan on going with two of my friends,” Lopez said. “I’m actually pretty excited to go to the basketball game.”
