Prom season is coming up, the students at Los Fresnos High School are getting excited for the 2026 prom coming up on April 25 at the Brownsville Events Center. Both seniors and juniors are looking forward to one of the biggest nights of the school year.

For seniors, this prom is extra special because it is their last one. Senior Camila Elizondo shared how she feels about attending her last prom.

“I’m super excited for prom this year, especially since it’s my senior year prom,” Elizondo said. “I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time. I expect it to be really fun, like last year, and I’m excited to spend time with my friends.”

Senior Kaylie Heyse shared her thoughts on her last prom.

“I’m excited to get ready at my friend’s house, make flower bouquets, and just enjoy the moment with my friends,” Heyse said.

The juniors have also been working hard to make prom happen. Junior class officer Ivan Verduzco helped plan the event with the other officers.

“It was definitely a challenge to make prom happen, especially trying to make it as successful as last year’s, but we got through it and were able to succeed,” Verduzco said. “I hope next year’s juniors are able to succeed so they can make an amazing prom next year.”
