As the school year comes to an end, seniors are preparing for one of the most emotional and exciting moments of their lives, graduation. This week is the seniors final week of high school,
and they have many activities planned out to celebrate their last week and final memories together. The seniors have been looking forward to fun events they have planned next week, such as zoo days, Decision Day, senior celebrations and gifts, and the sad part about this is that this all leads up to the day of graduation.
For many students, this week is both exciting and emotional. Seniors are spending more time with friends, taking pictures, and enjoying their final moments together before beginning a new chapter in life. Although graduation is a huge accomplishment, many students are realizing that this will be the last week they all see each other together every day. Many students were able to find a college that best suits them and they are all ready to discover a new city; some might stay and some may leave.
Senior Camila Elizondo shared her feelings on her high school career ending,
“I am glad to see what’s ahead of me for the future, but I definitely will miss some parts of high school, like my friends,” she said. “It will be sad knowing this is everyone’s last week together.”
Senior Levi Bennet also shared his thoughts about graduation week.
“I’m really excited for graduation,” he said. “High school was definitely an experience that taught all of us a lot. I’m excited for what’s coming ahead in my future, and I’m really excited to play golf in college.”
As graduation gets closer, we can see the emotions continuing to grow around campus and while this week may be bittersweet, it is also a heartwarming moment for the Class of 2026 as
they celebrate their journey and prepare for the future ahead. We can see the Teachers and staff excited and encouraging to the Class of 2026, making sure to enjoy every moment while also reflecting on everything they accomplished throughout their four years of high school. The seniors are now preparing to say goodbye to an important chapter they faced the past four years.
