LFHS Seniors and Juniors enjoyed the “Great Gatsby” themed dance on April 25 at the Brownsville Events Center. Complimentary food included Domino’s pizza and street style tacos de bistek. Music was provided by Peewees Sound, the very same DJ from the Homecoming Dance.
“It’s the kind of night that brings out the extroverts from us introverts,” said senior Reynaldo Galvez.
The DJ played beloved 2010s hits as well as Cumbia music. Everyone was feeling nostalgic that night.
“I had lots of fun with friends on the dance floor,” said senior Sylvestre Robledo.
Many seniors left around 9:30 PM despite the dance ending at 11 PM. Many danced, had fun, spent lots of energy, then left with their friends to either bowl, play billiards, or go to a nearby restaurant. With this surprising early exit, the cleaning staff started closing up at 10 PM.
