Throughout the school year, Los Fresnos High School’s college center provides a space for students to gain assistance in the college application process. Our amazing college center ladies never hesitate to help out students who need assistance with setting goals and planning ahead for their futures.

This is especially useful for students during deadline weeks. Having quiet spaces to relax and work on applications is immensely helpful not only for seniors, but also for students in all grades who are preparing for their senior year.

Sophomore Lexi Camarillo is especially interested in attending the college center when she gets to LFHS. As a student at LFU, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to utilize the resources that are provided for her college classes.

“As I prepare for college, I’m glad I will be able to ask many questions and find many answers with the assistance of the college center,” Camarillo said. “It’s great that I have access to these resources early on.”

As students seek aid in the college center, advisors step in to provide schedule information, transcripts, etc. Having these advisors readily available to help is very beneficial for students seeking to expand their future horizons. College Center Coordinator Ms. Trevino is very knowledgeable about the college application process and is always eager to lend a helping hand.

“I am very passionate about offering a smooth transition into the post-secondary journey that students face after high school,” Trevino said. “Our whole process here is to help students who are preparing not only for college, but also for the military and the future of their career.”
