After the massive success of the third Sonic movie, fans are excited to hear that development for a fourth installment has begun in February 2025 and is expected to release in theaters on March 19th of 2027.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie was released on December 20th of 2024 with the first trailer releasing on August 27th of 2024. Trailers for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 are expected to be released in late 2026. The fourth movie will include returning actors like Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Coleen O’Shauganessy as Tails, Idris Elba as Knuckles, James Marsden as Tom Whachowski, and Tika Sumpter as Maddie Whachowski, and will even feature a new voice actor, Kristen Bell, to voice Amy Rose.

Sophomore Brendon Castillo says that he is excited to watch the movie after all of the hype for the third movie.

“I really can’t wait for the movie to come out,” Castillo said. “The hype for the third movie was amazing and I really hope that they do justice for the new characters.”

Sophomore Dylan Chavez says that he likely will go see the new movie since he really liked the last one.

“I really liked the first three movies so yeah I probably am going to see the fourth one,” Chavez said. “I’m not too big of a Sonic fan but I do like the series.”
