On Nov 12, trailers dropped for two of the most anticipated animated films of 2026.
Toy Story 5 dropped its first ever teaser trailer while the Super Mario Galaxy Movie dropped its first ever trailer. Together they gathered 187 million views with Toy story getting 142 million and Super Mario getting 45 million views.
“Toy story was my childhood and I’m excited to see what a new movie will bring to the table,” senior Vasthi Arena said.
Senior Victor Martinez saw the Super Mario Bros. movie in 2023 and is ready for the sequel.
“Super Mario Galaxy looks like it’s full of hidden details and Easter eggs I think I’ll definitely appreciate since I grew up on Nintendo,” Martinez said.
Fans praise Super Mario Galaxy for being incredibly detailed and full of easter eggs. Some fans of Toy Story 5, however, are split. Many love the modern storyline of toys going up against technology, but some feel it’s a cash grab at this point and believe the story should’ve ended at the 3rd movie.
Super Mario Galaxy comes out April 3rd and Toy Story comes out June 19 next year. Which one will you be most excited to see?
