The Running Man was released in theaters across the country on November 14.
This movie is a remake of the Stephen King novel, and shares the name with the 1987 film which is adapted from the novel. It features adventures with some comedy throughout. After one week, it is at a 65% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Running Man is based on the character Ben Richards (Glen Powell), who has a sick daughter named Cathy (Alyssa Benn and Sienna Benn), and since he doesn’t have enough money for her medication, he joins a deadly tv show where the contestants must survive for 30 days. Richard’s motivation is money to get the medicine for his sick daughter, as the whole world is trying to kill him.
Junior Victoria Rodriguez saw the movie last week and enjoyed it.
“I really enjoyed this movie, I think I can relate to the fact of running because I’m in track” Rodriguez said. “It definitely has some sharing features with the novel and the 1987 film, which I personally enjoyed. Glen Powell did such an amazing job in this movie and I loved that.”
