The 2024 NFL Schedule was released last week, and the Dallas Cowboys are set for a challenging season after winning the NFC East in 2023.
The season kicks off on September 8th with an away game at the Cleveland Browns. Many fans are afraid that the first Cowboys game of the season will be a loss because it is away game against a playoff team from last year. The Cowboys went a perfect 8-0 in the regular season at home, but were 4-5 on the road.
Other games that stand out in the Cowboys’ schedule is a home game against the Houston Texans on November 18th in a battle of the two Texas franchises. The Texans advanced to the second round of the playoffs last year after winning the AFC South division.
Another game that stands out in their schedule is at the San Francisco 49ers on October 27th. The 49ers nearly won the Super Bowl last year after falling in overtime to the Chiefs. This game will be interesting because every time they play against each other the 49ers always seem to win, but the historic rivalry between the teams means the players and fans will always have the game circled on the calendar.
Sophomore Giovanni Mendez is optimistic about the 2024 Cowboys season.
“It does look like the Cowboys will have a good season this year,” Mendez said. “There are a few games that I am worried about, but other than those games I do feel like we will have a good record this year.”
