Spring break 2025 was full of fun and enjoyable moments, as students took advantage of the week off to travel, relax, and hang out with friends.
However, this spring break, just like all others, came with “challenges”, since our district and other districts nearby had differing spring breaks. This, of course, imposed some challenges for many families from LFCISD.
While our spring break started on March 10, others started on March 17, which was inconvenient for some of the people that live in LF. For instance, it was a big inconvenience if your parents worked for another district because that meant you wouldn’t get to go out. Another challenge was, if you wanted to travel with your family you wouldn’t be able to either. While it imposed challenges, it also proposed good things like being safer when going to our local beach because there weren’t going to be many spring breakers.
Sophomore Rolando Donez is one of the people who thinks that while it was more boring because he wasn’t to get to hangout with all of his friends from other schools, it was safer.
“I couldn’t hang out with all my friends but I still think it was a good thing that our spring break was before Brownsville because as soon as their spring break started people started having accidents,” Donez said
Sophomore Anaysa Farias’ birthday didn’t align with our spring break, instead, it coincided with one of the districts nearby. This was devastating for her since her birthday landed on a week day and of course, after our spring break.
“I’m so sad I was not able to do anything for my birthday,” Farias said “I thought it was going to be during our spring break, but instead it’s landed during Brownsville’s Spring Break.”
