Many students skip meals to avoid eating school food, but it is very unhealthy to skip meals. It’s crucial to fuel your body and brain with nutrients throughout the day, especially during school when we need energy to focus and learn.
Even if the school food isn’t your favorite, it is still better to eat something than skipping a meal entirely. You need food in your body to keep it running. Eating also helps you be more awake in class and pay more attention. Many students take the school food for granted, the school provides us free food while in other schools you may need to pay or they don’t provide food at all.
Some students suggested that students should find a meal that they think tastes best.
“I enjoy the nachos because they are better than everything else,” Melissa Jaramillo said.
Zoe Garza has a one specific favorite meal.
“The pozole because it is fire,” Garza said.
Eudelia Caraveo is a big fan of the salads that are served.
“I think the salads taste better than everything else,” Caraveo said.
