Friday marks Los Fresnos’s Homecoming Game against Rivera, where there will be plenty of action on and off the football field. If you are feeling hungry while watching the Falcons in action or while waiting on the Homecoming Court presentation, don’t fret, because the Los Fresnos FFA chapter and club members will be selling food, snacks, and drinks while running the concession stand located on the visitors side on the south side of the stadium. FFA members will also be walking the stands selling and taking orders so that you don’t miss any game action.
The Los Fresnos FFA is an organization that explores and teaches students about a wide range of agriculture and leadership skills that will help them grow into their future careers. The Los Fresnos FFA club will be working the concession stand during the last three home games; October 6, October 18, and November 2.
Mrs. Sanchez, one of Los Fresnos Agriculture Advisors, explained how the money from the concession stand would serve to benefit the club.
“The money goes to our student activity fund for the FFA chapter,” Sanchez said. “Those funds are primarily used for our FFA banquet that takes place in the month of May. The banquet is where we acknowledge all of the achievements and accomplishments of FFA members throughout the year. The installments of the new FFA Officers also take place.”
So if you find yourself attending one of these football games during the specified dates, swing by the Los Fresnos FFA concession stand and grab something to eat.
“Every purchase that you make benefits the members in a positive way,” Sanchez said.
