Freakier Friday came out in theaters on August 8th, 2025. The movie shows Anna Coleman and her mom switching bodies, but this time it’s not with each other. Due to the fact that this identity crisis is happening all over again with the new generation, the ladies must help understand one another before it’s too late and they are stuck in each other’s bodies forever.  

Freakier Friday, is the sequel to the beloved Freaky Friday, which came out in 2003. This sequel may actually be one of the few movies that is better than the original. This new sequel has a bigger cast, 20 million dollar difference in budget, and a similar, but better plot. This new movie brings back so many of the original characters, such as Anna Coleman (Linsday Lohan), Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis), and Jake (Chad Michael Murray)

Sophomore Jocelyn Carrillo saw the original Freaky Friday and came out of the theatres impressed with the sequel.

‘’I think this new Freaky Friday movie was a higher quality,  than the first one and has the potential to be even better than the original, or at least tied with it,” Carillo said. “I would recommend this movie to anyone who liked the original because this one is 10/10 and won’t disappoint.’’
