Sonic 3 was released in theaters on December 20, 2025 . In Sonic 3, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails the Fox, and Knuckles the Echidna unite to stop the sinister plans of Shadow, a once-heroic hedgehog now consumed by darkness. The movie focuses on the themes of friendship, redemption, and the struggle between good and evil.

As Shadow seeks to gain dark powers that threaten Earth Sonic, Tails and Knuckles go to confront him. This takes them on a journey through locations like Green Hill Zone and Lava Reef Zone, where they face Shadow’s robotic minions. Each character uses their unique skills. Upon reaching Shadow’s fortress they get into a fierce battle. Sonic reminds Shadow of his true self leading Shadow to have a moment of hesitation to recognize the importance of friendship. Together they stop Shadow and restore balance to the chaos. In the end Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles celebrate their victory while Shadow goes on a journey of self-discovery hoping to redeem himself. 

Senior Victor Ramirez hasn’t watched the movie but plans to soon.

“I would like to watch it because it looks interesting as well as it takes me back to when i used to play sonic the hedgehog video games,” Ramirez said.
