The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series championship with a 4-1 series win over the New York Yankees.
After not being able to celebrate their 2020 World Series title, The Dodgers were able to celebrate with a parade and celebrate with their fans. Freddie Freeman, who was the World Series MVP, broke records during the postseason. With a sprained ankle, he was able to homer in each of the first four games and became the first player in MLB history to accomplish that.
Senior Derek Garcia, a Yankees fan, is hoping to beat the Dodgers next World Series if they are given the chance.
“I really think the Yankees should have made the series at least six or seven games and hopefully we start hitting the ball better next season,” Garcia said.
Falcons head baseball Coach Rene Morales is a Braves fan and was glad to see Freeman win the MVP award.
“I’m very happy he won a World Series and the MVP award he deserves,” Morales said. “He is a great player and good role model on and off the field.”
