I know you have all been waiting for the official Prom Recap! Prom happened on Saturday, May 4th at Amigoland Events Center. After attending Prom, I can say that it was quite fun! All night I got to see awesome looks from everyone wearing beautiful dresses and suits. The theme for Prom 2024 was “Enchanted Forest.”

The best part of prom was definitely being able to spend time with our friends, while dancing to the best music! I enjoyed seeing everyone dance and have fun at this event. 

While prom was ultimately good, There were also some downsides to it too. Since the school sold too many prom tickets, the line to enter prom was very long due to security slowing the line down in order to keep things controlled inside the event center, Amigoland. The line to enter was very long and well I can assure you that waiting all that time in heels was definitely a struggle. 

On the other hand, once you entered the room you were able to see the whole room decorated to its finest in the theme “Enchanted Forest.” There were table decorations that were able to make you feel as if you were in a forest! Trees with hanging lights were at the entrance, so that everyone that walked in could see them from the first moment inside. 

Regarding food, I know that people like to say that the food at prom is bad, but I think this year the school was really able to make us happy with their food options at this event. Everyone that bought a ticket to prom was able to get a Food Voucher, which means that they can obtain their food inside the event. Everyone got tacos, which I’m pretty sure many were happy about. I wasn’t too happy at first, because I don’t eat meat. Later, teachers were able to go around and pass boxes of pizza to each table that definitely made everything better!

In conclusion, I encourage you to attend the LF prom, while you are in high school, because it is way more fun than you would think!
