On May 2nd, the official National Honor Society induction ceremony took place at the Los Fresnos High School cafeteria.
Recently, students in Los Fresnos who’ve applied to NHS have received letters back regarding their acceptances to the club.
National Honors society is a club that empowers and recognizes well-rounded students and provides schools with a framework to elevate the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Students were asked how they feel about their acceptances.
Sophomore Samuel Mondragon was happy to be accepted.
”I feel honored for being accepted and I can’t wait to see what we are able to achieve in the chapter this year,” Mondragon said.
Upcoming juniors and seniors were inducted during this ceremony.
The old officers stepped down from their positions and passed their torches onto their successors.
Students are excited to see what the National Honors Society has to bring in the following 2024-2025 school year.
