This past Thursday, April 25th, the faculty and alumni had a friendly competition of a basketball game here at LFHS during 5th period. In order to attend, you had to buy a ticket for the game that was sold during all lunches Monday – Thursday for only $3. The game started by having an announcer present all students that were participating while having a smoke machine on for their entrance and having all the cheerleaders rally for them. The following students participating were 

Seniors: JJ Contreras, Santana Torres, JJ Salazar, Jason Rodriguez, Miguel Garcia, Izaiah Colon, Ruben Cuellar Sebastian Gomez, Diego Gomez, Alberto Valenzuela, Alex Rivera, Erik Burberg, Jaiden Gonzalez, and  Jonas Apacible. 

The following faculty that participated were 

Principal Mr.Stumbaugh, Coach Vela, Coach Rivas, Coach Hinojosa, Coach Pena, Coach Urbina, Coach Hernandez, and Coach Pena.  

The referees for the game were seniors Shiloh Jones, Mia Ordaz, and junior Jessietheresa Brisky, all varsity basketball players here at Los Fresnos High School. At halftime, senior students and our mascot, Freddy the Falcon, put on a performance acting out how they aged and acted from elementary to now being their final year in high school.

The game resumed afterwards and it was an intense but funny game due to there being slight mockery from each team to the other as well as each team showing off their own skills and tricks. At the end however, it was a close game, but the coaches and principal beat the students by a score of 56-50.
