The Los Fresnos FFA will be hosting their annual banquet on May 16, 2024 after school located in the LFU cafeteria at 6pm.
The Los Fresnos FFA banquet will be attended by FFA members and their accompanying family members to witness the award ceremony where fellow members will receive awards and recognition for their hard work in the FFA throughout this past year. The banquet will also provide dinner and will be the night when the retiring officers will be recognized when stepping down from their positions and the new incoming officers will be instated in their new positions for the upcoming year.
The Los Fresnos FFA banquet will be attended by around 200 people with parents, FFA members, and multiple guest speakers invited to talk to the audience about their experiences with FFA and how they feel about FFA and the impact it has had on their lives. The speech presented by the speakers are heartfelt and mean a lot to members, parents, and teachers that know them.
FFA advisor Ms. Guerra described the importance of the FFA banquet and her experience with helping host them.
“The importance of the FFA Banquet is to share the little moments, to remember what it’s all about, to show that all the hard work that each and every individual did throughout the year was worth something,” Ms. Guerra said. “At the same time to say goodbye to old officers and install the new officers. Banquets are always a little crazy. Its a long process for preparing everything. It takes many preparing to plan everything out. Decorations, Certificates, Awards, Programs, and the script. Details are very important. But its all worth it in the end.”
