This Saturday April 27, UIL region qualifiers will compete in San Antonio for a chance at advancing to State.

Students who advanced from this past district competition will compete in their event at the University of Texas San Antonio. 

The advancing students from events including math, journalism, speaking, science, social studies, spelling, and computer applications will represent Los Fresnos High School at the regional competition.

UIL spelling competitor, Eduardo Delgado, commented on how he is preparing for the regional competition. 

“With this being my second year at regionals, I’m excited to use all my flash cards, Quizlets, and practice tests to hopefully advance to state,” Delgado said.

The enthusiasm and dedication from the qualifiers and coaches is evident throughout the group.

All regional qualifiers who advance to state competition will compete at University of Texas at Austin from May 13-15.
