Have you ever heard of Advanced journalism or Newspaper 1? It is a class that you can take at LFHS first period if you are an LFU student, or second period if you are an LFHS student.

In this class you do many things such as learning the basics of interviewing, how to quote someone in a story, in addition to learning the importance of the first amendment for journalism. The main thing we do in this class is writing stories like this, and this in my opinion is the best part. 

Writing can be liberating and can help you in many ways. It can help put out information, help relax you, and it can also help you expand and take note of your knowledge. 

Personally, being in this class has helped me better express my opinions and has been a helpful tool to relax my nerves for the rest of the day. Additionally, writing in this class been a gateway to improving my writing in my other classes. These are just a few of the many reasons that you should join advanced journalism.
