This year’s DECA end of the year banquet will occur April 18th to commemorate the proud achievements and accomplishments of its chapter members.

This banquet will be exclusive to its members, guests, and a special speaker who will give an important speech in celebration of the members. 

Special sponsors of the DECA chapters at united and the high school Julie Kupkowski and Mindy Quiroz are to host this event. 

Julie Kupkowski, DECA advisor of the chapter at United gives her opinion on the event and the year coming to an end.

“I’m having mixed emotions because I’m very proud of the group that I have this year.” Kupkowski says. “They have been exceptional in participating at DECA events and I’m sad because such great talent is being moved on from me. I’m wishing everybody well for this upcoming year.”

United DECA president Samuel Mondragon also stated his opinion on the end of the year celebration. 

“It’s a bittersweet feeling,” Mondragon said. “I loved being a part of DECA this year and I’m sad it’s coming to an end, but I’m happy for the experience and memories I’ve made.”

The banquet will be held this Thursday in Port Isabel inviting DECA members and selected guests.
