The New York Met Gala is regarded as the world’s most prestigious and glamorous fashion event and social gathering and is known as “fashion’s biggest night.” Everyone awaits the special moment when their favorite artists arrive at the Met Gala and show off the fabulous designs that the fashion world has to offer. The Met Gala is a fundraiser that has been around since 1948 by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert. She created this event to fundraise money for the Metropolitan Art’s Costume Institute. Although created by Lambert, it is now currently organized by the famous Anna Wintour.

Wintour is a very important figure in the fashion world. She is currently the editor-in-chief of Vogue and the lead chairperson of the Gala Event. She is in control of who gets invited to the Met Gala. 

The Met Gala was first held as a midnight dinner with tickets that were priced at $50 dollars each, but now the Met Gala tickets are about $50,000 each. This event is very prestigious and you need to be invited in order to be accepted into these events.
