To update you all on the newest movie release, let’s talk about the latest film of the Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I personally have not watched it yet ,but as a big fan of the Hunger Games I cannot wait to see it. From the premier of this movie, this movie has had great reviews and shocking reactions from fans. This movie came out on November 17, 2023 and it was long awaited since the release of the novel. The book was released on May 19, 2020.
The Hunger games have had a successful release since the beginning of the movie releases. This is a dystopian based story, that focuses on districts controlled by a capitol. This is based on a male and woman from district 12, named Peeta and Katniss. They are picked to fight against other 11 districts until the elimination of all the players. There will only be one person alive and who stays alive until the end will win the Hunger Games. These books and movies were a huge success in the film industry. The Hunger Games sequel received 51 nominations and won 28 awards. The actors do a great job at portraying the characters in these movies, and the directors also made sure to include and interpret the book perfectly. Due to this, the movies became a huge success.
Altogether, All of the fans of the Hunger Games movies & books were absolutely thrilled for the release of this movie. Characters that played a main role in this film were Lucy Gray and Coriolanus Snow. Rachel Zegler, West Side Story Actress, landed the role of Lucy Gray. Fans have shared their love for Rachel’s voice and acting ability. In addition, her co-star Tom Blyth, who plays Coriolanus Snow, mentioned “Rachel Zegler IS Lucy Gray.” This highlights how good Zegler was able to embody her character.
Secondly, Tom Blyth plays the love interest of Lucy Gray, better known as Coriolanus Snow. Fans went absolutely crazy for these characters, and it is quite clear that he has definitely had an impact with the Hunger Games fans. An anonymous LFU student mentions “I saw the movie and fell in love with Snow and his chemistry with Lucy when she saw the movie she fell in love with him and his chemistry with his co-star. Both Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth shared their experiences during the filming of the film, from their audition process all the way to their first day on set together. Blyth says “I felt a strong connection to Rachel from our first reading together, and I just felt extremely comfortable with her.”

If you are a person who loves dystopian fiction, and have never watched the Hunger Games, I recommend you to watch it, because I believe that the storylines of the games are just so exhilarating and thrilling.
