Last week saw Americans celebrate Thanksgiving across the country. Thanksgiving is traditionally a holiday that is used to show gratitude and love for those that are most important to you. During this very special holiday, it is common for most families to gather and celebrate in a big feast filled with turkey and other sides of their choosing. However, Thanksgiving has evolved to be be also used to celebrate with friends rather than family.
Friendsgiving is a spin off of Thanksgiving consisting of close friends that you are also grateful for. Friendsgivings don’t have to consist of the typical turkey and mashed potatoes, instead, they can consist of a friend groups favorite foods and dishes. Each person that is invited to the Friendsgiving can bring a dish to the table. With effort put in by everyone, a Friendsgiving can be a nice memory with friends that will be nice to look back on when time has passed. Taking pictures, playing games, and showing gratitude are all activities to do at one’s Thanksgiving that are sure to make the holiday or event memorable.
If you didn’t celebrate Friendsgiving this year, next year is a great time to start a new tradition and have your first.
