Last week saw the conclusion of the fundraiser for one of the popular fundraisers on campus, called “Kiss the Pig”.

This is the third year that the FFA held a fundraiser where students donate money to which Los Fresnos administrators they want to see kiss a pig.

Last year the winner was Mr. Stumbaugh and his competition was the vice principals at LFHS, but this year we had Mrs. Pineda principal at Los Fresnos United and Mr. Stumbaugh the principal of Los Fresnos High School. The fundraiser started on September 11 and concluded on September 29.

Now that the fundraiser has ended, many students are now left to wonder who will kiss the pig? The winning principal will be a shown a pig from north Texas but before that, the pig will have to settle down, as FFA sponsor Mrs. Sanchez detailed.

“When you get them overstressed, a lot of things can happen to the animals,” Sanchez said. 

With the voting now over, we will find out the winner around Oct 1 – Oct 6. The winner will be filmed kissing the pig, and a video will emailed to teachers to show their classes.
