Minorites such as people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, Hispanics, African Americans, Native Americans, religious minorities, the trans community, etc are being silenced and/or talked over.

The Black Lives Matter movement has been going on for too long. You would think by now everyone would be equal or at least receive the bare minimum but they haven’t. The same with the trans community, the LGBTQ+ community, religious minorities, and every person of color. We silence them when they know they have done horrible actions to one or multiple communities. We should be even and listen when one or multiple communities have been hurt. Not silence them.

The Holocaust, we don’t want another one of those. Yet they happen. A concentration camp in China for Muslims is going on at this very moment yet no one is talking about it. No news coverage, no protests, no action. Only there are protests, there is action, but no news coverage, because they want to silence them, they want it to keep on happening. If we all could just do the bare minimum and listen and take action maybe most of our problems would be solved. Minorities have to work harder than those who are white, cis, and straight. Since many people are prejudice, mostly towards people of color, it’s harder for minorities to really do anything. Black people get killed, arrested, etc just because of the color of their skin. Gay people, bisexuals, lesbians, transgender people will get killed, abused, harassed, etc just because they are being their true selves. The fact that we even have to add etc after stating what minorities go through is a huge problem. Most of it gets covered up or doesn’t make it to the public eye. If people get so upset over what we do see just imagine how we would all react to the things we don’t see.
